If you’re looking for a new car, but you’re not ready to purchase brand-new just yet, Chevrolet’s Certified Pre-Owned vehicles could be the solution for you. With our thorough inspections, offered warranties, and even a Pre-Owned Vehicle Exchange Program, you’re not taking a risk on just any used car; you’re getting a used vehicle you can trust.

Chevrolet Certified

A used vehicle isn’t simply given the title “Certified,” the title is earned. Through a thorough inspection process, and reconditioning process, the vehicle is deemed certified only once it has met Chevrolet’s standards.

What’s Included in Chevy’s 172-Point Inspection:

  • Well-Maintained: Engine oil and filter, battery, brake pads, and more.

  • Functional: Airbags, alarm, spare tire and tools, and more.

  • Road Test: Engine, transmission, and more.

  • Exterior: Windows, windshields, headlamps, and more.

  • Interior: Dashboard, seat controls, lighting, and more.

  • Under Vehicle: Suspension, brakes, exhaust, and more.

Not only must each vehicle pass this inspection, Chevrolet’s Certified Pre-Owned vehicles must also meet mileage standards of a maximum 75,000 road miles, be within a range of six model years or less, and have a clean title and Vehicle Report. But, what’s this mean for you? Your Pre-Owned vehicle is one that is safe, and relatively new too.

Maintenance Is Key

There’s security in knowing each Certified Pre-Owned vehicle has gone through an inspection and reconditioning process. Meaning, if an issue was found, it has already been fixed. But once you’re home and on the road with your vehicle, you’ll want that security to continue. Chevrolet provides this through scheduled maintenance.

When you purchase a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you’ll leave with two maintenance visits already scheduled, and included. These visits include oil and oil filter change, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections.

But you won’t only leave with two scheduled visits, you’ll leave with two warranties on your vehicle as well:

  • 12-Month/12,000 Mile Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

  • 6-Year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty

There’s Benefits to Choosing a CPO Vehicle

With our inspections and warranties combined, you’ll be feeling confident in your choice of a Chevy Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, but the benefits don’t end there. Here’s a list of some additional perks of choosing a CPO.

  • Vehicle Exchange Program: We hope you’ll find your perfect match with your first choice of a vehicle, but in case you don’t, we offer an exchange program. Bring back your CPO vehicle within the first three days of purchase, or within the first 150 miles, whichever comes first, and exchange the vehicle for another Chevy, Buick, or GMC.

  • Free Vehicle History Report: Receive a free CARFAX Vehicle History Report with purchase, so you are aware of any major accidents, title issues, or other concerns that involve the vehicle.

  • OnStar Services Trial: With a Chevy Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, your first three months of service with OnStar are included. Feel safe in knowing your roadside assistance is included, and though there’s no commitment to continue after the trial expires, you’ll know what to expect if you do.

  • SiriusXM Three-Month Trial Subscription: If your pre-owned vehicle is equipped with SiriusXM radio, your first three-month trial is included! Enjoy your new vehicle with a variety of talk, music, news, and sports radio – and enjoy it at home as well, with coverage included on connected devices.

Find New Roads in Your Dream Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet

Hopefully, seeing the words “Certified Pre-Owned,” in front of a Chevrolet vehicle will inspire confidence and trust in the vehicle before you. But we also hope they inspire excitement, too! Our CPO options include vehicles in a range from small/compact, mid-size, full-size, and even sports cars too. Continue to find new roads in your Pre-Owned Chevrolet, that might just be your dream car too!

Tires 101

Tires 101

Learn about tire maintenance today with your local North Country Chevrolet Dealers.

Did you just purchase your dream Chevy? Or maybe you are wanting to learn more about how to keep your car in optimal condition. Either way, every car owner should know about one key feature; tires and their upkeep.

Start With the Basics – Picking the Right Tires

Before you need to know about tire upkeep and maintenance, you’ll want to make sure you’ve chosen the correct tires for your lifestyle. Different tires can be ideal for certain conditions, and not for others.

  • All-Season Tires: These tires use a blend of technologies, compounds, and treads to make them ideal for most driving conditions including snow, rain, heat, and cold.

  • All-Terrain Tires: A high performance on most road surfaces, in most weather, and even for off-road driving too. Something to consider with these tires is that the tread patterns may wear down more quickly, so users should consider more frequent tire rotations.

  • Performance Tires: Designed for those driving in more demanding circumstances, offering more enhanced handling. These tires generally have high speed ratings, meaning drivers can travel more safely at higher speeds than with other tires.

  • Run-Flat Tires: These tires can be driven with no air pressure without needing a stop for a tire change. Though safe to drive, they should not be driven too far or too fast.

  • Winter Tires: The name might make these tires’ use clear, as they are designed for increased traction in snowy or icy conditions. However, these tires include possible decreased traction on dry-road conditions, higher road-noise, and shorter tread life.

  • Summer-Only Tires: Again, this name depicts intended usage. With a specific tread design and compound, summer-only tires are optimal for both dry and wet conditions, though this decreases in colder conditions and they are not safe to use in winter conditions.

Upkeep Made Easy With Chevrolet’s Complete Care

Tires are one of the most important features of your vehicle. But, rubber ages, and many factors influence this aging, including your upkeep habits, making maintenance very important! Fortunately, with Chevrolet’s Complete Care, upkeep is made simpler.

Chevrolet Complete Care is a comprehensive owner benefit program, providing support and services from the moment you purchase your Chevrolet vehicle. Our Chevrolet certified technicians are trained to inspect your tires and replace them when needed.

In the first 12 months of owning your new vehicle, one maintenance visit for a variety of services, including a tire rotation, is covered!

Tips to Know When it Comes to Your Tires

If you are one of many who can get overwhelmed when it comes to the terms, tips, and everything to know about your vehicle, here’s a list of the most important things to remember when it comes to your tires.

  • Tire Pressure: Correct air pressure in your tires is crucial, as under-inflation and over-inflation both carry risks.

  • Under-Inflated Tires: Causes irregular and premature wear down on tires, poor handling of vehicle, reduced fuel economy, and possible overheating that could lead to a dangerous blow-out on the road.

  • Over-Inflated Tires: Causes unusual wear down of tires, poor handling of vehicle, a rougher ride, and greater risk of damage.

Thankfully, each vehicle’s tire pressure monitoring system will automatically measure the pressure of your tires, and send a warning alert to the driver when one or more tires is low in pressure. But still, even with technology, it’s helpful to know how to check your tire's air pressure. Here are a few tips:

  • The air pressure in your tires should be checked at least once a month, and more frequently in colder weather or when the car has not been driven for some time.

  • A tire information label is found on the doorframe of each vehicle and provides the recommended air pressure for your specific vehicle.

  • Use a gauge, when it comes to the air pressure of a tire, they can appear full when they are actually low. When it comes to tire pressure, guessing isn’t suggested.

  • Don’t forget about your spare, when you’re checking the pressure of your tires – check your spare tire too, just in case!

Detail Your Ride

Detail Your Ride

The North Country Chevy Dealers have some advice to get your car in tip-top shape.

With the advent of summer, it’s the perfect time to make your Chevy shine once again: it’s time for a thorough detail. If you are prepared to take on a DIY detail, there’s no need to be intimidated: you can get your Chevy sparkling once again with a few easy steps!

  1. Scrub a Dub: Find a nice area of shade, where you can suds-up and rinse off your Chevy. The shade will allow you to see any residue left on your vehicle, and any scratches or cracks in the paint. In a bucket, mix soap (either dish soap or automotive-approved soap)  in water, then dip your sponge in the bucket and start scrubbing away.

  2. Splish Splash: Next, use a hose to rinse the soap off your vehicle, ensuring that all bubbles are washed away so the soap does not leave a film, which would truly prevent your Chevy’s real shine from coming through.

  3. Dry: Using a microfiber towel, preferably, gently dry your vehicle section by section in a circular motion. If you want to raise your drying game a bit, you can also use a leaf blower, just make sure there is not any debris lodged in the blower that could land on your car.

  4. Time to Shine: Once dry, it’s time to bring out that showroom sparkle. To polish your paint, the right tools and proper technique are paramount. Some tools that are excellent to have on hand are an orbital polisher, an assortment of polishing pads in various sizes, and a good polishing compound. Experts recommend watching instructional videos so as to get your technique down regarding arm speed, pressure, and pad flatness.

With a few hours devoted to washing, drying, and polishing your Chevy, it will be restored to that showroom sparkle in no time at all. Your Chevrolet will be ready to find new roads all summer long.
