Charge up Your Imagination With the First-Ever Silverado EV

Charge up Your Imagination With the First-Ever Silverado EV

Chevrolet has proudly been at the forefront of vehicle innovation since the brand drove onto the production line, exceeding expectations, in 1911.

While they’ve played a critical role in providing reliable, advanced vehicle options to fit anyone’s lifestyle, driving in the sustainability lane isn’t a new concept for Chevrolet. General Motors announced a $27 billion electric vehicle investment, so their experts can shift to an all-electric future.

They’ve answered the question… “What if?”

“What if we could create a cost-effective, accessible solution to decrease air emissions for a cleaner environment?”

The answer?

A commitment to 30 new global electric vehicles.

The First-Ever Silverado EV

You’re familiar with the Chevrolet Silverado, the longest-lasting pickup truck on the road, correct? Now, imagination has no limits, and the future is here.

It’s time to say an energetic ‘hello’ to the first-ever Silverado EV, an electric vehicle designed to offer drivers a simple, smart, alternative way to drive.

The Silverado EV goes above and beyond to provide smart technology and advanced agility, while still being capable of taking you where you need to go – fast.

Ultium – A Seismic Shift

So… how does it work? The Silverado EV still packs power. Its force is driven by an all-new battery platform: Ultium. That brings with it new power, new force, new flexibility, and of course, a new range of possibilities.

There’s no engine. Don’t let that scare you.

It’s a turn for the better, we promise. This electric Silverado option can take you an estimated 400 miles on a full charge! And if you need to get somewhere fast… you can go 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds. How’s that for power?

Three Ways to Power Up

  • 120-Volt Charging – Level 1 home-charging option that comes with a standard 3-prong, 120-volt household outlet. This is a solution for those taking shorter, daily trips.

  • 240-Volt Charging –  Level 2 home-charging option, which uses a 240-volt household appliance outlet for the fastest home-charge times. This charging option is recommended for most electric drivers.

  • DC Public Fast Charging – This ‘on-the-go’ charging solution can get a GM-estimated 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. There are more than 40,000 available public electric air charging stations.

Storage Solution

The Multi-Flex Midgate with Pass-Through fits those extra-long items for construction work or outdoor adventures. You will be able to reach entirely new lengths, while not having to worry about leaving anything behind on the way.

The power behind this Chevy Silverado also means you can get up to 10,000 lbs. of max towing to hitch up and hit the road with ease as soon as you’re fully charged.

Ride In Style into the Electric Future

Where to even begin with the futuristic perks of this EV?

We have to start with Ultifi, the intelligent software platform that keeps your vehicle functioning and personalized with over-the-air updates, downloadable apps, and new features so your vehicle system is constantly keeping up with you, wherever you are.

With the Super Cruise Driver Assistance Technology, you can enjoy the freedom of hands-free driving and trailering across 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada.

The new 4-Wheel Steer means that all four wheels will work together, for a smaller turning radius, helping you make those tight turns up the mountainside or through traffic. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, you’ll look at parallel parking or sliding into even the tightest of parking spots with ease.

Get Going on Your Next Adventure

Chevrolet has been leading this charge with category-defying, boundary-breaking technology, starting in 2016 with the introduction of an all-electric Bolt EV.
