Strong, Smart, Safe.
When it comes to your protection, Silverado brings brains and brawn to the table with a high-strength steel safety cage and available active safety features designed to help you stay out of harm’s way while you’re on the road.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL - ADVANCED
This available feature enhances regular cruise control. The cruise control speed is automatically adapted in order to maintain a driver-selected following gap between your vehicle and vehicles detected ahead while the driver steers, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.
LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
This available feature can provide gentle steering wheel turns (and Lane Departure Warning alerts if necessary) to help drivers potentially avoid crashes due to unintentionally drifting out of their lane when they are not actively steering and their turn signal is not activated.
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
When in Reverse, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert can provide visual and audible alerts to help the driver potentially avoid crashing into approaching detected left or right cross traffic.
FORWARD COLLISION ALERT
The available Forward Collision Alert system can alert you to detected slowing vehicles in your path. It also warns you when following a detected vehicle much too closely.
FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING
If the available Forward Automatic Braking system detects that a front-end collision situation is imminent while following a detected vehicle, the system can automatically apply the brakes to help reduce the collision's severity or even help potentially avoid the collision at very low speeds.
Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle Owner’s Manual for more important feature limitations and information.
